Swastika
I'm doing Spring Cleaning around the house - or at least - trying to. It's not easy to get things done around here without someone to watch Fabi. MasalaDad and I call him our 'baby tornado'. As I am typing this....he's trying to wear my sunglasses.
Anyway... my MIL had given me a set of bangles (bracelets). They're absolutely beautiful! When she gave them to me, I noticed that its design had a small swastika symbol in them. A few days after I got my bangles, Prince Harry did something that sparked the attention towards the swastika symbol. I scanned the articles for you to read (click on the images to enlarge).

Here's a picture of one of my bangles...I wonder what would happen if I wore them in Europe? :)

Question: What happens when MasalaDad and MasalaMom have a cold?
Answer: MasalaFabi also gets sick....
P.S. We're all fine now...but it was a long (feverish) week!

He is Risen! - Easter Sunday

Easter is the most important religious holiday of the Christian liturgical year. It's by far more important than Christmas. Easter celebrates the resurrectionn of Jesus.
Jesus is the Son of God. He lived a sinless life and then died on the cross to pay the penalty for our sins.
Jesus rose from the dead and now He lives in heaven with God His Father. He offers us the gift of eternal life -- of living forever with Him in heaven if we accept Him as our Lord and Savior. Jesus said "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except by Me."
"Lord Jesus, I believe you are the Son of God. Thank you for dying on the cross for my sins. Please forgive my sins and give me the gift of eternal life. I ask you in to my life and heart to be my Lord and Savior. I want to serve you always."

Holy Week - Palm Sunday

The Sunday before Easter is known as Palm Sunday. It marks the end of Lent and celebrates Jesus' arrival in Jerusalem for the Jewish festival of Passover.
It commemorates Jesus' triumphant entry into Jerusalem where people put palms down in front of his path.
Palm Sunday is the beginning of the Holy Week leading to Easter which celebrates the Resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.

The Greatest Show ... in Vashi!

We saw more elephants!...But this time it was expected because we went to the circus!
Last Friday we went to our local mall (it's actually a 'small') and after our weekly shopping Ishan noticed the Raj Kamal Circus was in town, right in front of where we had parked. "Let's go to the circus!", he said. So...without planning we went in...just like that (eventhough it was rather close to Fabi's dinner time!). I think it was the first time (in a year - at least!) that we have gone out to some sort of entertainment, and it was definitely the first time we have done something in the spurt of the moment: things are a little easier now that Fabi is not a 'baby', but is now a 'toddler'.
I've been to the circus twice in my life, once in USA ('The Greatest Show on Earth") and once in Costa Rica. I have always enjoyed the elephants the most! This was the first time I saw a hippo ('horse of the river') in a circus. Fabi found the dancing doggies and the acrobats in bicycles very amusing. He even had nap during the show and we had to leave half an hour early, but we had a nice time overall.
